CBENGINE

Where To Get It:  www.cbengine.com

Price:  $9.95/90-days

This page displays a vertical ad block from CBEngine.

click here to display a horizontal ad block.

CBEngine is a recent addition. In fact, it's still in BETA. This site has got to be more ClickBank-capable than ClickBank itself.

You can not only search for products but you can get detailed information on any given product, such as reviews, payout statistics, ranking, and other information.

CBEngine has a beta version of an adsense-like ad feed for ClickBank products. The $9.95 price shown above is for membership at the site. The ClickBank ad feed is free for members.

Once you have signed up, paid up and logged into your CBEngine Pro account, you can go to "CB Ads" (It's on the left side of the page). Click on that and you are taken to the page for generating the ad script. There isn't any set of menus to help set up the values, but you can select the ad format, and there are directions on the page describing what values you need to enter and where to enter them. For example, you can enter your ClickBank ID in the text box for the clickbank_cbid variable. Other variables are self-explanatory, such as border color, et cetera.

As soon as you select an ad format the script is immediately generated, and is ready for copy and paste.

Ad Formats

There are eleven ad formats: three horizontal, three vertical and five squares. The one on this page is a 160 x 600 skyscraper. The alternate page (cbengine-h.html) shows the same size in horizontal format. The initial default color selection is a bit darker than that shown, but was changed to match the site.

What You're Paying For

The $9.95 charge covers three months use of the website. (That's about eleven cents a day.) That doesn't necessarily include the ad feed, though the service is apparently intended for paid users. Not known if it will remain a standard feature of paid membership.

  • Positives
    • Very good-looking ads.
    • Good variety of ad formats.
    • Your site is spidered for relevant keywords; keywords can also be added to Javascript.
    • Support by probably the best ClickBank site outside ClickBank.
  • Negatives
    • No control for font size; smaller than our default 13pt, though still usable.
    • No spidering.
    • No dynamic format changes; user must edit script and upload changes.
    • No ability to save configurations (but it's all plain text, so it's easy to keep track).
And remember, it's still a beta product, so it can only get better!
